INHUMAN HAUNTINGS

Inhuman
hauntings are simple to describe, not always simple to diagnose. The
description: inhuman hauntings are caused by entities that never
walked the earth as humans.
The most famous type of inhuman entities would be angels and demons. Angels were never human - in most religions they were created separate from humanity and are often protectors of humans. Guardian angels have often been felt/seen, but they are not deemed "hauntings". When an angel intervenes on your behalf, it is a miracle and it is done for good. However, they are considered inhuman entities because (as I stated) angels were never mortal. I believe angels are around us at all times.
Demons, on the other hand, are slightly complex, and bad news.

head of all demons, and believe demons are his creations. However, Satan can
not create, only God can.
Demons are all angels that fought on Lucifer's side and fell when Lucifer fell. They became twisted and deformed in the pits of hell separated from God.

Because
God does not hate the fallen angels (since he is pure love), he allows
demons to maintain their angelic hierarchy along with the intelligence and strength that comes with the positions despite how they twist them. I will explain the
demonic hierarchy at the end of this article. Each demon committed
their own sin which caused them to fall. You can tell what that was
during the exorcism when they may utter “I am gluttony”, “I am
pride”.
Demons
are both mourning for the loss of God, as well as filled with hatred
for God and all his creations, especially humanity. They can never be
redeemed, despite mourning the separation from their creator, they
hate him and are incapable of desiring forgiveness. They do not feel
love nor joy. They do not harm human beings because it makes them
'happy'. They are always suffering, even when they are possessing a
human being. They feel nothing but pain... however the suffering of
mankind hurts God... and to them that is as good as feeling joy.
Demons
are bound by God's laws and commands. They can not do more than God
allows them to do. So why do possessions happen? There are many
reasons according to various faiths. As a Catholic, these are the
reasons we believe possessions occur.
For
one... they are self-inflicted, not inflicted by God. We all have
spiritual armor protecting us and every time we use the free will God
gave us to sin, that armor is chinked leaving us vulnerable.
Some
intentionally or unintentionally allow a demon in. By use of the
occult some practicing Satanism offer their souls willingly to the
devil... then there are those who open pathways to the spirit world
which inadvertently allows demons in.
A
renowned exorcist stated other reasons God allows demonic possessions
include, a deeper faith. Those battling the devil, sees God working
within them to liberate them from the demon. It reminds us of God's
grace and mercy. It teaches us about the evils of sin and the love of
God. It opens the minds and the hearts.
Not
always of course, but in many cases... it has turned hearts who had
left God, back to him.
For
Catholics, attending Mass, accepting the Eucharist, and going to
confession to offer our sins with a contrite heart are ways we
rebuild our armor that is worn down from sin... so we can continue to
protect ourselves from the evil one.
Now, a good way to tell if an entity is demonic in nature: When it peaks, it will mock religion at any given chance. For example: when people talk about finding three painful scratches on their bodies, or when bad things will happen in 3's during a haunting, such as 3 injuries... one person I interviewed had 3 fingers broken during the investigation of a demonic entity...why all the three's? The demons are mocking the Holy Trinity. The father, the son, and the holy spirit.
Other symbols noted with demonic entities: the smell of sulfur, the inability to keep plants alive (going beyond just not having a green thumb. I'm talking, you have the plants or flowers and within a few HOURS, they start to wilt and age, and then fall apart as if they were weeks old. Many times they turn black), black mists, black shadows, if you feel a change in yourself or see a change in someone for the worse, if your animals are fearful or aggressive, if paranormal experiences are accompanied by bouts of illness that goes away when you separate yourself from the home/situation. Those are some of the other ways to tell if you are dealing with evil spirits.
If
you see a manifestation of a human spirit, or capture one on video or
in pictures... many times there will be something about the entity
that is deformed. Missing feet, Missing hands, Missing facial
features... a demon can not perfectly mimic a creation of God. Of
course there are times when a human spirit may not be completely
clear as manifestation can take energy the spirit may not have... but
in general, a strong manifestation that is imperfect is generally
demonic in nature.
One thing you need to know about malicious hauntings: inhuman hauntings such as demons, usually need to be invited in. Most of the cases I have been on or researched, there always seems to be some sort of divinity that was the precursor to the activity.
Many people open portals in order to speak with spirits who have "crossed over". In other words, they are actively looking to speak to spirits that would otherwise not be haunting a location, (for example: if you go to a diviner's place of business or personal home looking to communicate with your great granny... why would your great granny be haunting a stranger's house? she shouldn't be. The Diviner would be requesting her to come from the spirit world and communicate either through her, or through means of spirit boards. whether angel boards or ouija boards) you are not investigating a known haunting... you are requesting a spirit who is not otherwise there to join you, to begin haunting you.
When you invite spirits that otherwise would not be there to join you, to use you as a conduit for communication or as a way to enter our plain of existence, especially if you do not know how to properly open or close a channel (which most laymen don't)... you are allowing any spirit to use that portal, including demons. Even if you do know how to properly open and close a channel... there have been cases of demons entering while the gate is open, and not leaving once the way is closed. You are basically inviting trouble.
Getting rid of demonic entities is not easy. You should check out the documentary by the Booth Brothers called "The Haunted Boy" (the true story of "the Exorcist"). It's not only a haunting account of the actual demonic possession that inspired the now famous movie... but it also shows just how bad a demonic presence can get. Many people tell you "ignoring the demon will bore them and make them go away." if that works, it was most likely a lesser demon like an imp. in most cases, ignoring and provoking can cause an actual case of demonic hauntings to get worse.
NEVER EVER cleanse your house yourself, NEVER EVER ask a paranormal group to cleanse your house. (if they say they do cleansings in these situations... I'd look to other groups.) 9 out of 10 paranormal investigators are NOT equipped to do cleansings of demonic entities. Most studied mediums I have interviewed have also stated that it is extremely draining on them, and most will not do cleansings of demonic entities.
I always recommend religious clergy, especially from Catholicism. many Catholic priests and bishops are trained in blessings and cleansings, and some studied exorcisms at the Vatican in Rome. They have the experience and also have the faith necessary for cleansings. Many believe demons can only be cast out by invoking the name of God or his son Jesus Christ. Those who do not have belief in a higher power are often mocked by the demon and invoking the name of someone of which you do not believe can, in fact, anger them. This is why a religious figure with true belief is brought in.
The best thing to do... if you are a paranormal investigator, protect and cleanse yourself before and after investigations. Make it clear that whatever spirit is there is not welcome to follow you home or attach to you. That there is no invitation. Make it clear that you give no invitation. Outside of investigations... to avoid demonic hauntings, do not mess with things such as Ouija boards or Angel boards or any form of divination that demands giving a spirit an invitation, or opening a gateway for spirits to come through from "the other side" to the living world. Do not seek spirits and ghosts to divine the future. (note: There is a difference when it comes to psychic mediums and diviners - mediums speak to the spirits that surround us and protect us - and not to divine the future, sometimes it's as simple as to find inner peace, to know our loved ones are at rest, while diviners seek answers to future events from any random spirit in the spirit world. I call it the health vs. wealth psychics. Mediums tend to tell you how to find love within yourself to be happy with who you are, while diviners try to predict your lotto numbers.) When dealing with psychics... if you're religious I always go with the bible verse: Do not believe every spirit... Test the spirits to see if they are from God.
Keep in mind... most demonic hauntings start out benign. Demons know things about us we may not know ourselves. they will gain your trust in anyway they know how. even posing as great great great Grandma. They will tell you things you want to hear, or think you want to hear. They will lace their lies with little truths. They will suck you in and then tear you down. This is why you must be careful about seeking answers to future events from the spirit world, or dealing with divining tools such as Ouija boards.
Now, this is all a matter of opinion/experience on my part. There are many who will agree with me, but there are many who may disagree. There are those who do not believe in demons because they feel that has a religious connotation and they do not believe in religion or in higher powers. There are some who believe in a higher power, but also believe the Ouija board is not responsible for demonic invasions and claim they have used Ouija boards without incident for years. If you want to hear their side, then you will need to seek them out. This is based on my experience and research only.

One
big thing: DO NOT obsess over demonic activity... being overly
concerned and/or interested in demons gives them acknowledgment. And
that gives them power. Even those of us Demonologists do not pay much
attention to the demonic except on cases, when giving lectures, or
teaching others to help them protect themselves. Otherwise, God is on
our minds, not the demonic.
